Privacy Policy for SnapBack

Effective Date: September 7, 2026
Developer / Company Contact: websolvepro@gmail.com

Core Privacy Principle: SnapBack is designed with an on-device-first architecture. We do not operate remote servers that collect, track, or store your incoming phone calls, phone numbers, or SMS messages. Your business and communication data remains strictly on your mobile device.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs your use of SnapBack – the Android application listed on Google Play as “SnapBack Pro” – (also referred to as “SnapBack: Missed Call Auto SMS”), a native Android application created to help field contractors and solo business owners retain leads through automated text messaging after a missed call. By installing or using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Sensitive Permissions & On-Device Processing

To deliver its core auto-responder functionality, SnapBack requests access to sensitive Android permissions. These permissions are used strictly in real time on your hardware and are never used to collect data for our benefit:

  • Phone State & Call Log (READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_CALL_LOG): Used solely to detect when an incoming phone call is missed or declined. This enables the app to determine when an automated response is required.
  • Send SMS (SEND_SMS): Used exclusively to dispatch the pre-configured auto-reply text message directly through your mobile carrier to the missed caller.
  • Contacts (READ_CONTACTS — Optional): Used only if you choose to grant it, to let you configure an exclusion list (e.g., family, personal friends, internal staff) so they never receive automated auto-replies, and to let you save new leads on your device.

3. Data Collection and Transmission

  • No cloud call/SMS sync: Incoming caller phone numbers, call timestamps, and sent text messages are NEVER transmitted to our servers or to any third-party analytics or ad networks.
  • Local storage: All call activity, lead records, and contact notes are stored locally in an encrypted on-device database (Android Room / SQLite).
  • Optional AI template features: If you use the AI Smart Template generator, only the business category or prompt instructions you enter are processed to formulate template text. No customer phone numbers or personal call records are included in any such request.

4. Third-Party Sharing & Advertising

SnapBack contains no advertisements and does not sell, lease, or distribute user information or phone logs to data brokers, advertising partners, or marketing platforms under any circumstances. Phone numbers, incoming caller IDs, call logs, and SMS content are never shared with third parties.

5. Data Retention & User Control

Because all data resides exclusively on your device, you maintain total control over your information:

  • You can delete individual call-log / lead entries directly from the in-app Activity Feed.
  • Clearing all app data, or uninstalling the application, instantly removes all stored records from your device.

6. Security

We rely on the native security architecture of the Android operating system — app sandboxing and encrypted local storage — to protect your data from unauthorized external access.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted to this URL with an updated Effective Date.
